While no one principle or guideline can be touted as the backbone of Santa Cruz Gardens, here are a few important ones that we believe you should know up-front:

Some of these principles or guidelines are, of course, quite general and it’ll be in the way we conduct our project and improve our structures that we’ll make the difference.
The Galapagos are a very special place, no doubt about it. They are as fragile as they are fantastic and I deeply believe that one must earn its right to have or do something there; be this reside in the Galapagos, operate a business, own land or simply visit as a tourist.
Our guiding principles go beyond the observance of the rules of the Galapagos National Park; they call for a deep understanding of what makes the Galapagos so remarkable and from that perspective knowing what to expect and not to expect from the Islands and Santa Cruz Gardens specifically, and acting responsibly and dynamically to produce improvements.
We seek like-minded individuals who are not afraid to put on the conservationist uniform and to see the Galapagos for what they are: a natural haven for leisure and rest or for respectful natural adventures, rather than a place for civilized-world complexity and infrastructure.
